Lee Mumba

Lee is doing great work in Chibobo caring for the orphaned and vulnerable children in the region.

By completing the registration form you’ll become a member of the very first circle of our ongoing campaign Circle of Ten which is ten people contributing $10 a month towards the costs of staff in developing countries. We currently have two places available to complete the first circle.

Lee Mumba is now employed in Chibobo (She-Bo-Bo), a small rural community in Zambia Africa through this program. There are a two groups currently providing assistance to this area, one is from Sunbury and we want to build on the great work which has already been achieved in this area that will see all 500+ orphaned and vulnerable children (OVC) from this region provided with three essential services of food, education and healthcare.

This program benefits in three ways. 1) Providing someone and their family with a steady income 2) provide a wage which will be spent in the local economy helping to also support local small businesses and 3) their work enriches the lives of the children and young people of the projects they are overseeing.

We have seen many similar schemes fail because of the heavy reliance on volunteers. This will remove that issue.

All we ask is that you consider your financial position as once the circle employs someone, we at Opportunity To Do are committed to employing them for 12 months, and if the circle are committed to continuing we can renew that for a further 12 month period the next year.

We’ll send you a photograph and introduction of your employee and keep you up to date with their work and news on the programs they oversee. We will also be running trips for sponsors to visit the area and help provide assistance in person if they choose to.
