If you enjoy gardening, no matter your level of experience, then this opportunity is for you. We have a network of gardening enthusiasts who create from seeds and cuttings many different types of plants that we can sell for fundraising towards helping children and young people through different ways to feel remembered, valued, safe, loved, special, happy and whole.
We also have people donate their pot plants from deceased estates and when people move overseas and cannot take these with them.
When you join our Opportunity To Do Gardening volunteer group you’ll become part of a group of people keen to help create a positive change in the lives of children and young people. We’ll keep you updated regularly with feedback about the programs we sponsor and there are often opportunities for you to get personally involved too.
- Pot plants of all sizes and types
- Empty seedling trays (not broken)
- Clean small plastic yogurt pots
Is your group looking for something community minded to do? We can visit your school, aged care facility, club or group to present our organisation and how you can become involved in our gardening program (as well as other opportunities that might suit). Please contact us to find out more.
At home grow plants from seeds or cuttings and bring them to one of our social drop off days.
If you have a knowledge of a wide variety of plants you can volunteer to help us name and price plants and other gardening related products. You can choose to also share your knowledge with other volunteers wanting to learn more.
Opportunity To Do Gardening is a program made possible by these generous business supporters.
